PBR Iowa strives to be the most comprehensive source of player information across the state. The Prep Baseball Report is the No. 1 resource for high school baseball in each state we cover through our variety of events, boots-on-the-ground scouting staff, daily coverage, and multimedia platforms. PBR: What schools have expressed interest in you?
MARTINEZ: Iowa and South Dakota State. Currently- Central College, Johnson County CC, Iowa Central CC, Iowa Western, Upper Iowa and Wartburg. 

PBR: Have you taken any visits, or have any visits scheduled in the near future?
MARTINEZ: I’ve only taken an unofficial visit to Iowa. I am planning on making many of my visits at the completion of football season

PBR: Are you looking for anything in particular in a school? (Example: high academics, certain academic program, local, etc.)
MARTINEZ: Business marketing. I also want a school that will develop me as a 2 way player and help them achieve our teams highest goals.

PBR: What were some of your highlights during your junior year?
MARTINEZ: Finally getting to be an everyday starter and compete at the 4A CIML varsity level. We did not to get to state; we got bumped by eventual champs Urbandale in an exciting and classic game. I made team 2nd team CIML all conference  as well and am motivated for more!

PBR: What are your goals for this year?
MARTINEZ: I want to concentrate on baseball-only moving forward and devote my winter on developing my body and fine toning my pitching mechanics to be able to compete this upcoming season and prepare myself for the next level. I want to help lead Waukee to the 1st 4A state title in school history... we have a great squad coming back and many juniors to add to the mix.

PBR: Do you play any other sports?
MARTINEZ: I have participated in Track competing in the 200 and 400m for 3 years and Football as a wide receiver for 4 years

PBR: What is your ACT and GPA?
MARTINEZ: I take my ACT this October and my GPA is 3.0.
