PBR Future Games Player Spotlight: C Evin Sullivan

Greg Williams
Pennsylvania Director of Scouting

2019 marks the 8th year that Pennsylvania will be represented in the PBR Future Games. This one-of-a-kind event will feature the best uncommitted Class of 2021 & select 2022 prospects from our 40-plus state coverage area. The Future Games will take place July 31st - August 4th (Wednesday-Saturday) at the LakePoint Sporting Community in Cartersville, GA.

The Prep Baseball Report Future Games is the premier summer scouting event for Class of 2021/2022 prospects. Last year, more than 250 college coaches from all over the country were in attendance, making it arguably the most heavily recruited event of the summer.

We will be highlighting each player on the Team Pennsylvania roster in the week leading up to the event. Links to those players that have already been highlighted follows at the end of this article.

+ 2019 PBR Future Games Selection (Team Pennsylvania)

2/09/19

6-foot-2, 170-pound catcher displayed an all-around impressive day. The right-handed hitter starts with a wide, square stance utilizing a strong lower half to generate power to all fields. Featured present pop with the ability to drive the baseball with backspin as evidenced by his 91 mph bat-exit-velocity. Demonstrated above-average athleticism as he ran a 6.96 60-yard dash. Displayed soft hands while receiving to go along with quick transfers and impressive straight-line footwork helping him register 1.95-2.02 pop times using 80 mph arm-strength from the crouch. Looks to have cleaned up his blocking while using soft walls and good angles to lessen the impact of wild pitches.

6/20/18

6-foot-2, 160-pound backstop impressed with his arm strength and athleticism behind the dish. Showcased pop times of 2.02-2.07 on throws of 76 mph from the crouch. Advanced catch and throw guy at this point, but will need to continue to refine his receiving and blocking skills to become an elite catcher in this class. The right-handed hitter starts from a square stance and utilizes a heel-raise stride to start his swing. Displayed an above average feel for the barrel in a solid round of BP with a bat exit velocity of 80 mph. Went 1-for-3 in game action on day one and put together a number of quality at bats over the course of two days. Ran a 7.32 60-yard dash.
