By Nathan Rode

A standout at the 2016 Florida ProCase, C Sam McMillan (Suwannee HS, FL) continued to make strides and went off at the Florida Diamond Club Showcase in October. He carried that momentum into the spring and forced his way into the PBR Draft 100. He has a prototypical frame for a catcher, standing at 6 feet, 190 pounds with strength. He has a short, level and quick swing with a strong lower half and feel for the barrel. Defensively, he is above average. His strong hands and solid set-up give him the ability to receive the ball well. He has a quick transfer and slightly above average arm. He is committed to Florida.
