PBR Draft 100 Spotlight: Chris Seise

By Nathan Rode

SS Chris Seise (West Orange HS, FL) stood out last summer for his frame and raw tools, but everything started to come together in the fall. He showed well at the Florida Diamond Club showcase and carried that momentum into the spring, vaulting himself to the No. 1 spot in the state. He has played solid defense throughout the spring with a quick first step, soft hands and a strong arm. He's a plus runner and has become more consistent with his offensive game. He is noticeably shorter through the zone with less swing and miss, maintaining balance with a strong lower half. He has power potential from gap to gap and can drive the ball to right-center field. Seise is in the conversation as one of the top shortstops in the country and should get popped in the top two rounds.
