PBR COLORADO SUMMER SCOUT LEAGUE

PBR Colorado finished it's inaugural season of the Summer Scout League. The PBR Colorado Summer Scout League is designed to give players an all-inclusive package that will meet participants’ recruiting, game-development, skill-development, and exposure needs. The package included 9 inning games played at local Colorado college fields which includes Metropolitan State, Regis, Colorado School of Mines, and Univeristy of Colorado, Colorado Springs. All games were scouted by the PBR Colorado Staff, and players had multiple times to get their profiles updated on the PBR Colorado website which is subscribed to over 850 colleges. This was a great opportunity to be seen in front of state colleges in the area.

Over 160 players participated with several players showing off next-level talent on the field. Over the course of the next few months we will be highlighting "Top Performer Spotlights" on players who really stood-out this summer.

Uncommitted. 5-foot-11, 150 pounds. Bats and throws right. Lippold started the day running a 6.97 60 time. At the plate has a balanced stance. Short load back with slight uphill swing with high finish Hands stay inside baseball and lets the ball travel. Live round proved he could generate gap to gap power and everything was barreled. Defensively, in the outfield, shows clean and deliberate actions with a long arm stroke coming through an over the top slot at 84 mph from the outfield. Projects as leadoff or 2-hole type hitter.

6-5-18

Uncommitted. 5-foot-11, 159 pounds. Currently ranked No. 59 in PBR Colorado's 2020 rankings. Projectable body/frame. He has good instincts in center field and runs good routes. He features plus speed and base running ability. At the plate Garrett has a good-looking swing. Stays through the baseball and has good extension on his swing. Good leadoff hitter with selective approach. Uses whole field. Flashed power, but will more likely come as he continues to develop. Off the mound Garrett was 77-78 with his fastball. Looks to have very raw mechanics. Loose arm. More velocity will come as he learns to use his whole body and get better extension out front and iron out mechanics.

At the plate he hits from an open stance with a slow load on the pitch.  Good lower leg drive on the swing.  Hands come through the zone and create good whip.  Swing path is level to slightly uphill. Exit velocity was 82 mph.   In the field he showed good athletic actions and instincts. He has soft hands and a good glove to hand transfer. Uses his quickness to close ground on the ball.  Arm velocity was 76 mph with accuracy.  Ran an event best 3.85 home to first.
