Oregon 2024 Rankings Update
May 11, 2023
After a preseason of events and with a High School playoffs on the horizon, the Oregon 2024 class is ready for an update. The list expands to 100 in this latest update with some movement in the Top 10 and several new additions to the top 50.
Since its inception in 2005, the Prep Baseball Report has evolved into one of the country’s biggest and most respected independent scouting services, with a singular focus of providing comprehensive year-round coverage in every state we are in. The mission of the Prep Baseball Report is to scout and promote amateur baseball - high school, junior college and college - and, ultimately, help athletes achieve theirs of playing baseball at the next level.
Rankings are based on evaluations by scouting director Dan Jurik as well as additional PBR scouts across the country who have seen prospects from the state at various events.
With a majority of the prospects on the list uncommitted, the goal is for this information to help assist college coaches as they look to finalize their recruiting classes and add additional pieces to their roster.

VandenBrink has always possessed impressive physicality with offensive potential while playing sound defense at the catching position. This spring he’s shown the ability to slug in game and his overall presence in the box is a cut above everyone else right now. Oregon State commit
Just a soph, C Ryan VandenBrink (OR) has some of the biggest raw power in the class.

Howard has really turned it on as of late with his pitching. Dominating the zone with an upper 80’s FB that will touch a 9 and pairing the heat with a quality SL in the upper 70s. His athleticism and body control has helped him maintain command while the arm talent continues to trend in the right direction. Oregon commit
Osborne continues to remain extremely well-rounded and has consistently pushed his game forward. Most impressively, he continues to run in the 6.7 range while not compromising his strength or power output. It’s an all fields offensive type approach with line drive contact. Defensively he’s an athlete behind the plate and has also shown aptitude for roaming the OF with his plus speed and arm strength. Sacramento State commit
Uncommitted Risers
#5 RHP Matthew Kosderka (Sandy) - Vaulted into the Top 10 with a strong preseason that carried over into a dominant spring on the mound. Kosderka is a high floor type of arm that is capable of pounding the zone with a mid-to-upper 80’s FB and 2 distinct breaking balls. He repeats his actions well and understands how to miss barrels
#14 SS Frankie Rutigliano (North Medford) - Climbs to 14th overall after showing quality tools across the board and being able to translate those tools into game play. Controls the middle of the diamond at SS with noticeable confidence and has a strong understanding for the speed of the play. All fields type approach at the plate with the ability to spray LD contact
#19 OF/LHP Nolan Miller (Sheldon) - Miller checks a lot of boxes with his L/L profile and combination of size and offensive aptitude. The mechanics of the swing have always looked natural and he’s consistently added bulk over the years that allows him to impact the ball with more authority. His ability to pitch and command multiple pitches adds another element to his prospect profile.
