PBR New Jersey recently put on events on back to back days called the Futures Preview. Players from all over the state came out to show off their talent in front of over 30 colleges, and On the Hunt was also in attendance. Multiple players picked up coveted invitations to PBR’s prestigious, Future Games, after showcasing the skills that may make them one of the country’s best underclass players. Listed today are just some of the top prospects from the 2019-2020 classes including three outfielders and four pitchers.

Christian Kane OF / Washington Township, NJ / 2020

Kane is a player that recruiters will want to immediately get out to see this summer as he already runs a 6.71 60-yard dash, and features advanced feel for the barrel from the left side. Long and athletic at 6-foot-1, 160-pounds, Kane shows a great deal of room to fill out in coming years. In the outfield, he bounced around like a future centerfielder and showcased a strong arm with carry after a quick release. He has an “old time” setup reminiscent of a 1940-50’s era player as his hands drift down and back before showing loose, quickness through the zone. The left-handed hitter shows excellent feel for the barrel, and it appears to stay in the zone for a long time. He shows some present pull side power, and will hit to all fields.
