Every week, PBR Ohio holds an interactive chat through Twitter with our followers. Our goal is to be accessible. This is your chance to take advantage of our expertise. Ask questions to JD Heilmann, Ohio Scouting Director, about the recruiting process, upcoming high school season, specific prospects, PBR events, or anything else that may be on your mind.
We would like to thank all who participated, we enjoy bringing you knowledge and expertise on players and programs in your area.
Next week, we will be answering questions on either Tuesday or Wednesday, stay tuned.
Six of the top questions from the Ask.FM Q&A session on December 10th
How will Gahanna Lincoln high school's baseball team end up after losing Evan White?
PBR: Very hard to replace a player like Evan White. Guys like Cole Gibson, Bradley Hull, Santiago Martinez, and Taylor Acquista are going to have to step up.
Walsh Jesuit or Moeller for pre-season number 1 in Ohio and possibly #1 in the nation? Would the national rankings be both of these teams 1 and 2?
PBR: Both programs have very good teams and will be tough to beat in Ohio. Moeller has nine Division 1 commits and Walsh Jesuit with eight Division 1 commits. Let's see how the season plays out and who's number one at the end of the year.
Do coaches take into consideration if a player plays three sports? Do they realize they can't put as much time as they would like to baseball?
PBR: Coaches definitely take in consideration with three-sport athletes and the time commitment. I personally like if a prospect plays three sports. Nothing better than seeing a person compete on all different stages. I wish more prospects played three sports.
Top 2-3 unknown class of 2016 infielders? Any of them just absolutely smooth in the field?
PBR: There are a lot of guys that can pick it in the 2016 class. A couple of guys way under the radar are Sam Shelt Palm and CJ Colson.
Best runners in the class of 2016?
PBR: Clayton Surrell, Kaleb Lepper, Nick Moser to name a few. There are a lot more good runners out there.
Any late bloomers in 2015 class?
PBR: West Branch HS Kip DeShields is turning some heads and I am also anxious to see where Zack Blair and Zachary Meese end up.
