OSSAA 2A State Tournament MVP

Scott Hood
OK/MO/KS/ARK Assistant Scouting Director

The high level of consistency the Rebels of Silo showed all season long was a highlight in 2022 and was capped by multiple players having strong State Tournaments.  Multiple guys had noteworthy weeks on the field for Silo but none shined greater than 2023 SS/RHP Kyler Proctor.  The Oklahoma State commit got the week started with a 2-4 performance in the opener with a double, a homer, and 2 RBI to help them capture a 5-0 win.  In game 2 Proctor did his job out of the leadoff spot going 1-2 with 2 RBI while drawing 2 walks to help jumpstart the offense.  He saved his best work for last in the Title game with a 2-3 performance at the plate as well as throwing the first 6 innings on the bump where he only allowed 3 hits and one run while punching out 8 hitters in the talented Oktaha lineup.  He went back to his position at short stop for the 7th but with Oktaha putting up some runs and threatening with the bases loaded they went back to Proctor for one more out where he sealed the deal on the 7-3 victory and capturing another State Title.

Congratulations to Kyler Proctor on earning this year's 2A State Tournament Most Valuable Player and to the Silo Rebels on their State Championship.
