OKC Sandlot Scout Day Leader Board

Andy Urban
OK/MO/KS Scouting Supervisor

PBR covered the very talented OKC Sandlot Scout Day on May 22nd at Oklahoma Christian. The event featured players from all four grad classes for this coming year. The players listed below are only the players from the event that chose to upgrade to a PBR profile. See all of the numbers from the event, here.

The event featured a fast track as the 60 were ran on a literal track due to wet grass conditions. There were 13 sub 7.0 60s with 2023 Jackson Grace leading all players with a 6.64 60. Grace had an all around big day. The 2023s ran eight of the 13 sub 7.0 60s and will be a quick twitch group of players for scouts to watch.

Off of the tee, there were 14 exit velos at 85+, and three at 90+. One of the most athletic players in the state, 2023 Morgan Pearson lead all swingers, going 99 off tee. Pearson also took a strong round of BP from the left and right side of the dish.

Defensively, there were some big arms from the outfield and outfield. 2023 Noah Smith lead all infielders at 85 mph, and in the outfield, it was 2023 Nicholas Garcia leading the way at 88. Garcia had a strong all around day and looks poised to have a big summer.

Behind the dish it was 2022 Brody Houser who showed the biggest arm at 78 from the crouch and pop times as low as 1.89. 2023 Jacob Knox was 76 to second base and had the lowest average pop time at 1.90-1.95 with every throw right on the bag.

On the mound, Cowley commit 2022 Brett McComas was electric at 90-92 and also flashing a wipeout slider. 2022 Caden Hinther was up to 89 and Morgan Pearson threw multiple 88s. In total, there were 5 arms that were 85 plus.
