OK Uncommitted Senior Spotlight: OF Grayson Hall

A lean and athletic outfielder from perennial powerhouse Bishop Kelley, Hall has continued to polish his game and add strength every time we see him. The right-handed hitter showed a max exit velo of 89 mph in BP according to TrackMan, ripped off a 6.78 laser timed 60, and showed a strong arm from the outfield at the OK Fall Prospect Games most recently.

Hit: Right-handed, starts open with stance, loose hands, quick bat, shows control of the barrel, bat stays on plane with the ball, hard contact during round, exit velocity of 85 mph.

Showcased a long and lean 5-foot-11, 170-pound frame with physicality in his actions. The right-handed hitter begins from a bent, open stance and utilizes a lift-and-replace stride to initiate his swing. Displayed a slightly uphill barrel path through the baseball at contact point with carry to the pull side gap off the tee. Showed solid barrel awareness evidenced by an 84 mph bat-exit velocity. Ran a 7.13 60-yard dash. The primary outfielder demonstrated fluid, athletic actions during defensive evaluations while arriving on time to the baseball regularly. Soft hands and smooth transfers generated accurate 85 mph arm-strength from his position out of a high ¾ arm-slot.

Showcased feel for a physical, athletic 5-foot-11, 170-pound frame with present strength. The right-handed hitter begins with a slightly open stance utilizing a short lift-and-replace stride to initiate his swing. Demonstrated some barrel whip through a slightly uphill bat path in the hitting zone while hitting into a stiff front side. Displayed some lift to the left centerfield gap registering an 88 mph bat-exit velocity off the tee. Ran a 6.90 60-yard dash. The primary outfielder featured active footwork that created advantageous hops and momentum towards the target. A quick first step allowed for easy reads and yielded accurate 83 mph arm-strength from his position out of a fluid, high ¾ arm-slot.

Displayed a proportional 5-foot-11, 170-pound frame with present strength and athleticism. Offensively, starts in an upright, open stance. Initiates swing with a short stride, dropping hands creating a flat bat path and line-drive swing with bat speed through the zone, registering an 87 mph exit velocity. Consistent barrels during BP, working the middle of the field. Ran a 7.28 60-yard dash. The primary outfielder shows clean actions with adequate footwork. Throws with a loose arm action from a high ¾ arm-slot at 76 mph. In the infield, shows active feet and soft hands. Has fast exchanges and a quick release, throwing with a shorter arm stroke from a low ¾ slot at 69 mph.
