Prep Baseball Report Oklahoma hosted the OK Summer Open event at the University of Central Oklahoma on July 13th.  The event was comprised of players all across the state and from players coming from the 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025 classes.  There were some players that opened some eyes with their performances from this event and today we take an in-depth look at the leaders and their sliders captured by Trackman.

Brett Pense had the firmest slider at the event at 76.15 mph which played nicely off of his fastball.  Drake Jones came in for the 2023 class at 74.28 mph and Anthony Smith posting a slider at 71.71 mph.

Bense also posted the top spin rate on the slider at 2172 RPM with Kenstan Curry right behind him from the 2024 class at 2151 RPM.  Curry tied 2025 Parker Page for the most horizontal break at 12 inches of east/west action.  Page had the highest induced vertical break on the slider at 3.8 inches.
