Northern Nevada Prospect Update: Max Fastball Velocity

Brett Harrison
Nevada Scouting Director

The Northern Nevada Prospect Update attracted a wave of prospects eager to showcase the improvements made over the past couple month. We saw over 60% of players in attendance improve their numbers, which could be directly attributed to the work players have put in during the current down period. Even thought this period has not been ideal for prospects in the prime of their recruiting periods, the PBR staff was extremely impressed with the quality of performances carries out at the Prospect Update with both physical and statistical gains this past weekend.

The Northern Nevada Prospect Update showcased the depth of arms available in the area highlighted by Stanford commit, Robby Snelling, topping the leaderboard with an Average Fastball Velocity of 90 mph while topping out at 91 mph. Damonte Ranch product, Matthew Sigafoos, featured a projectable three pitch mix with a fastball topping out at new personal best 87 mph. The Future Games alumni displayed one of the most polished bullpens at the event with TrackMan system picking up on his decreased extension on his changeup that he showed some slower arm action. Below we have the roster of arms that make up the Max Fastball Velocities at the Northern Nevada Prospect Update.
