Most games scheduled for March 31st were postponed due to weather. As for the teams that did play, here's a look at scores and highlights from around the State.
(3-1) Manhasset 4 (0-5) Sewanhaka 3
WP: Ryan Lennon
Manhasset HS and Sewanhanka HS squared off in a Class A match up Monday night.
It was over when: Matt Basso hit a walk-off RBI single in the bottom of the seventh.
Ryan Lennon threw a complete game, allowing three runs and fanning six batters.
(2-2) Hewlett 4 (2-3) Roslyn 3
WP: Aaron Kadosh
Hewlett HS and Roslyn HS met up Monday night for a Class A clash.
It was over when: Michael Agurkis hit a walk-off RBI fielder's choice in the bottom of the sixth inning. The game was called for darkness giving Hewlett HS the 4 to 3 victory.
Aaron Kadosh grabs his first win of the season working six strong frames for Hewlett HS. Kadosh also struck out five while walking only two.
Salesian 7 Archbishop Stepinac 3
WP: Derek Wade
Salesian HS squared up against Archbishop Stepinac in a Catholic high school baseball match up.
It was over when: Skylar Pacharo hit a two RBI triple in the top of the fifth inning to give Salesian HS two insurance runs.
Derek Wade earned the win for Salesian HS working a no-hitter into the fifth inning.
(1-0) Putnam Valley 3 (0-1) Hendrick Hudson 0
WP: Eddie Lent
Putnam Valley HS clashed with Hendrick Hudson HS Monday night in a Class A match up.
It was over when: Eddie Lent stepped on the mound and fired seven scoreless innings allowing two hits while fanning six.
