New England Insider: Initial Class of 2021 Player Rankings (September)
Throughout the year we have traveled across the region to showcases and games. The spring/summer have proved valuable for many 2021 prospects, with names coming off the board to some of the top programs around the nation. This fall followed suit and we were able to spot numerous other talented prospects within the class. Below we will take a look at “What’s New At The Top”, "The Risers" and the top uncommitted prospects available.
That being said, we have had the pleasure of seeing a number of solid players this past spring and summer. Prospects are popping up left and right, making velocity jumps, improving 60-yard dash times and showing more power with the bat.
Covering six states, New England is a prime area for legit baseball talent and now we would like to bring to you the initial 2021 Player Rankings.
Who's At The Top
Asa Runge LHP / OF / Pinkerton Academy, NH / 2021Asa Runge is an athletic left-hander who already pitches in the low-80s with very good secondary pitches. Look for him to be a high level guy down the road. |
Tyler Martin 1B / RHP / BB&N, MA / 2021Tyler Martin is an athletic infielder who can also pitch, out of BB&N. The bat is very advanced for his age. Look for him to turn some heads with the barrel over the coming years. |
The Arms
Asa Runge LHP / OF / Pinkerton Academy, NH / 2021Runge is a southpaw who's arm works cleanly and the secondary stuff is advanced for his age. Good sound, online delivery, best days are in front of him. |
Zach Fletcher LHP / Bedford, NH / 2021Zach Fletcher is a projectable left-hander out of Bedford in New Hampshire. Pitches in the low-80s with developing secondary stuff. Keep an eye on Fletcher over the next few years. |
Tommy Beauregard 2B / RHP / Salem, MA / 2021Tommy Beauregard, out of Salem High School in Massachusetts is a strike throwing machine. The stuff is good and he stays in his delivery. Already a winner as he is the Legends go to guy. |
The Bats
Tyler Martin 1B / RHP / BB&N, MA / 2021Tyler Martin's tee exit velocity of 92 mph as a 2021 is impressive. The frame projects and he should be a high level guy. |
Matt Travisano SS / RHP / Concord-Carlisle Regional, MA / 2021Matt Travisano, out of Concord-Carlisle has the potential to be two-way guy at the next level. The hands work well at the plate and shows the ability to defend. |
Dennet (DJ) Sidell 3B / RHP / Billerica, MA / 2021DJ Sidell, out of Billerica is a good looking pitcher and hitter. The bat has life and the frame projects as well. |
Jake Pisano SS / OF / Hamden, CT / 2021Jake Pisano, out of Hamden, CT, is a long, above average toolsy type athlete. A right-handed hitter, Pisano can really run. The swing has life to it, but needs to clean up the finish. The bat speed is there. |
