North Carolina Team Notes
DI JUCOs
Louisburg
0-2 week dropping 2 games at Pitt CC. Lost game one 6-0, and fell in game two 10-9. Remaining games scheduled for the weekend were cancelled due to rain.
DII JUCOs
Brunswick CC
Begin their season 3-0 with a sweep of the ECU Club Baseball Team. 6-2 win in game one and a double header sweep on Sunday with a 9-6 win and a 4-1 win. Game three saw Hunter Stevens pick up the win in 5 innings of work, allowing 2 hits and 7 strikeouts.
Catawba Valley CC
Weekend series vs. Walters State was cancelled due to weather.
Wake Tech CC
Participated in the USC Sumter Invitational, going 3-1. On Saturday the Eagles beat USC Sumter 8-7 before falling to Harford CC 5-2. On Sunday, Wake Tech won two, one run games, beating Harford CC 6-5 and USC Sumter 5-4.
Pitt CC
The 12th ranked Bulldogs dropped a midweek contest to Mount Olive JV 13-0. Swept a Friday double header over Louisburg winning game one 6-0 and game two 10-9. Dylan Patrick got the win on the mound in game one, striking out 9 in 6 innings of work. Austin Lafollette had a big day at the plate in game 2, going 3-4 with a homerun and 4 RBI’s.
Guilford Tech CC
Did not play due to weather.
Lenoir CC
Swept a Friday doubleheader against Allegany College of Maryland winning game one 9-0 and game two 12-1. Taylor Featherstone pitched 6 innings, allowing 2 hits and striking out 7 to earn the win in game one. Blake Gipson went 2-3, driving in 2 runs in game two. Saturday games were cancelled due to rain.
Southeastern CC
Won 7-2 and 8-4 over Francis Marion JV in a Thursday doubleheader. Trent McKay pitched 5 innings in game one to earn the win, while striking out 9. Chase Orrock went 2-3 with 2 RBI’s in game two.
DIII JUCOs
Rockingham CC
Dropped two games to Paul D. Camp CC on Friday, losing game one 8-1 and game two 8-6. Gavin Taylor had a strong day at the plate in game two, collecting 3 hits and driving in 2.
Surry CC
Opened their week with a 15-0 win over Bluefield. Michael Roberts had a big day at the plate going 2-3 with 3 RBI’s. Remaining games for the week were cancelled due to weather.
