No. 10: Tristan Salinas

Tristan Salinas has been a favorite of PBR's North Carolina scouts for several years.  The left handed hitter has continued to improve his athleticism and twitch, allowing him the potential to play in the middle of the field as he continues to mature.  The swing has always played.

In 2021, Salinas jump started his profile interest with a big Preseason All-State event in March.  That performance, along with a solid high school season, earned Salinas a spot on Team Carolina for the 2021 PBR Future Games.  At LakePoint, Salinas put the 400 college coaches on notice with a loud workout day, running a 6.66, and turning in an impressive round of BP.  On day 1 of the game play, Salinas continued to separate himself, barreling 3 balls against some elite arms from Florida, including a double to the opposite gap and a pull side homerun.

Shortly after the event, Salinas committed to continue his playing career at the University of South Carolina.

Scouting Report

7/28/21

Athletic build at 6-foot-1, 190-pounds. The left hand hitter drew attention on day 1 posting a 6.66 laser timed 60 on workout day with an exit velocity of 98 mph. He carried that momentum into game 1 squaring up three balls including a home run to right center and a double to left center. Simple, balanced swing with his barrel staying through the zone a long time. Will adjust with 2-strikes. Showed versatility playing a variety of positions during the event.
