Scouting Report
2/24/18 Initiates swing from neutral set upe with aggressive leg kick and stride staying neutral. A significant arm bar creates length. Separation is solid. Width of stance, aggressive stride, passive hip turn and limited backside release create inconsistency in swing plane. Young player demonstrated considerable bat speed in recording a bat exit speed of 82 mph.
Defensively, hands and feet are adequate. Benefit would be gained from consistently working bottom up while playing though the ball and following throws.
On the mound, works out of mid 3/4 arm slot with solid, rhythm, balance and ability to repeat. Arm action is long and loose. Delivery is low effort. FB sat 73-75 mph and was cut to both arm and glove sides. CB at 66-67 showed 11-5 shape with rolling action. There was feel for 64-66 mph change as it was commanded well with consistent arm side fade.
