Most Viewed Profiles of 2022: No. 17 Tai Peete

Phil Kerber
Georgia Scouting Director

As we begin to close the book on 2022 and shift our focus to a brand-new year, we continue our tradition of highlighting the Top-25 Most Viewed Profiles for the calendar year. Using Google Analytics, our staff was able to compile a list of the Top-25 prospects whose PBR profile was viewed the most in 2022. Many of the players mentioned on this list produced at a high level at various PBR events over the course of the last 12 months.

Starting on December 7th, we began counting down from No. 25 all the way to No. 1, which will be announced on December 31st. Coming in at No. 17 in our countdown of the most viewed profiles of 2022 is Georgia Tech commit 3B/RHP Tai Peete of Trinity Christian High School.

Scouting Report

9/06/22
Georgia Tech Commit. 6 foot 3, 185 pounds. Young for the class, Peete has huge upside as a two-way prospect. On the mound, he currently runs his fastball into the low 90s and is able to create heavy tilt. He complements it with a lively changeup. His arm works smooth and lightning quick out of an over-the-top slot. Offensively, the left-handed hitter has some of the top power potential in the class with clear pull-side power. Still growing into his lengthy, athletic frame, there is still more to come out of Peete.

8/01/20

Peete might have the highest upside of any prospect at the PBR Future Games, and given the fact that he is nearly a year young for the class, his future potential might be even brighter. The wiry, 6-foot-2, 170-pounder is still becoming acquainted with new movement patterns of a long frame, but already showcases impressive understanding of his swing path from the left side. He exhibited quickness of the hands with an uphill path that produced firm gap-to-gap strength, and promises much more as he continues to fill out. Perhaps equally as impressive, he hopped on the mound in the final game of the weekend, and ran his fastball up to 89 mph from a polished delivery with feel for both a changeup and breaking ball. Peete’s athleticism is obvious, especially in the swing, and as he continues getting stronger, expect him to make considerable jumps.

2/14/20

6-foot-3 170-pounds. Tons of athleticism from the long limbed, lanky frame. FB was up to 84. Sat mostly 80-83. Slow, smooth delivery with some aggression on the finish. Really reaches back, and finishes really well. The CB is still developing, but showed really good shape, and depth. Competed really well for a freshman. Expect him to carry a substantial amount of innings for the lions.

4/27/19

5-foot-11, 140-pound two-way prospect, athletic frame, long build, projectable. On the mound, got the start for Homeplate Chili Dogs. Fastball worked mostly 74-76, touched 78 mph. Curveball at 59 mph. Offensively, left-handed hitter, takes an athletic setup, calm/relaxed demeanor in the box. Line drive approach with developing gap-to-gap abilities.
