The countdown of the Top 10 most viewed Colorado profiles of 2020 continues today with No. 7, Mason Bright. 

The RHP/OF had a very strong showing at the PBR All-Colorado Showcase on May 25, 2020. The strong, physical two-way prospect was up to 87 mph on the mound with a quick arm. Also showed off a CB with late break at 72-76 mph. At the plate, has quick hands with power potential. Posted a 96 mph exit velo while running a 7.06 laser-timed 60. 

Bright is a high-follow prospect in the CO 2023 Class.  Currently ranked 13th in the state. Here is a look at Mason's profile.

6’1” 195 Big side step transitions into pivot foot. Leg lift is waist high, with some side to side movement. Tall to Fall delivery with aggressive effort and open toe landing. 3⁄4 Release with momentum falling to glove side. Quick and strong arm. Max effort and attack. Glove side leverage can improve. FB 85-89 Touch 89 3⁄4 created Arm Side Run SL/CB 73-74 Throws off speed hard, hard late break when in zone CH 75-78 Slowed arm Mason is one of the top raw talents in the Colorado 2023 Class. High Ceiling with power arm.

Positional Profile: RHP/ OF

Run: 7.53 
Hit: RHH  Big strong young man.  Wide stance with minimal stride and load.  Bat head has some tilt.  Quick hands with slight lengthening of arm angles.  Barrel gets to ball often.  Strong lower half acceleration and when he is on time, he punishes ball with power.  Demonstrated ability to go oppo, but tendency to pull.  Balanced finish  Exit Velo 96 
Power YES!   Baby bull with developing raw skills.
Arm: OF Velo 84  Short high arc on back side, high ¾ release 
Defense: Corner OF projection. Has athletic movements with raw skills.  Could also see development at 1B.   Mason is also one of the top 2023 RHP in this class.   Would consider Mason a Top Prospect in the 2022 Colorado Class

Body:  6’1” 195  Brick House
Run: 4.40 Home to 1st
Hit: Shoulder width base.  Stride is minimal with small lift to balance.  Weight shift and rhythm to rear side. Athletic actions, Plus bat Speed! Advanced strength. Has tendency to open and tendency to pull side.  Finish gets cut short on occasion. Mason demonstrates very good mechanics and room for even more growth. Attacking and aggressive approach. Exit Velo: 94 Mason athleticism is evident as a hitter. Would be considered a TOP 2-way player in the 2023 Class.  See Pitching Eval.
Power:  Yes.  High Ceiling
Arm: OF Velo  83 Very short arc with evident strength.  Long finish. Gets hips and shoulders aligned in each throw
Defense:  Athletic build, sits back on ball.  Can gain more confidence as he develops his OF play
