MoKan Top Prospect Games Leader Board Slider Metrics: (Trackman Pitchers)

The MoKan Top Prospect Games took place on June 22nd at Creekside Baseball Park in Parkville Missouri. A full event of 53 players, including some of the top players from the 2022 graduating class, showed out with some eye popping numbers.  Today we take a look at the top sliders from the event with metrics recorded by Trackman.

The firmest slider at the event belonged to Calvin Urish at 76.94 mph.  Jake Daneff posted a slider velocity of 76.29 mph with Ryker Curry right behind him at 76.20 mph.

The top average spin rate was posted by Wyatt Foley with an impressive 2365 RPM.  Benjamin Laird came in at 2314 RPM with Samuel Hunt spinning it at 2290 RPM.

Benjamin Laird had the largest average horizontal break at 19.3 inches of east/west action.  Ryker Curry posted an average of 17.7 inches of action with Wyatt Foley coming in at 16.4 inches.

The highest average induced vertical break giving the breaking ball some depth belonged to Laird as well with 12.5 inches of average break.  Lane Tyson posted an impressive 11.3 inches of vertical break and Christopher Gulley coming in at 9.9 inches.

Samuel Hunt and Benjamin Laird had the highest peak Bauer Units at 35 units with Foley coming in at 34 Bauer Units.  Bauer Units are calculated by the spin rate divided by the pitch velocity.
