Armstrong scored 5 runs on 4 hits to beat Irondale on Wednesday. Jordan Kuznia and Josh Thorp each had a hit and 2 RBI's. Kuznia was outstanding on the mound throwing a No-Hitter going 7 innings, walking 2, and picked up 13 strikeouts in 99 pitches.
Maple Grove 5 Anoka 2
Drew Lewis was 2-2 with an RBI, Isaac Collins hit a double, and Adam Brant scored 2 runs to lead Maple Grove over Anoka. Junior Brett Schulze continues to play well for Maple Grove this season. Schulze threw a complete game allowing 3 hits, 2 runs, 1 earned with 4 walks and 9 strikeouts. 2017 Trent Palmer was 2-3 with a run scored for Anoka in the contest.
Minnehaha Academy 17 SPA 4
Minnehaha scored 17 runs on 16 hits and benefited from 6 SPA errors to win 17-4. Peter Webster had a monster game going 4-6 with 2 doubles, 3 runs scored and 5 RBI's. Nick Terlizzi, Alex Fedje-Johnson and Matt Ganter had 2 hits apiece as well. Matt Ganter went 5 innings on mound allowing 7 hits, 4 runs, 2 earned, with a walk and 6 strikeouts. Jesse Retzlaff was dominant in relieg throwing 2 innings and striking out 5.
Champlin Park 4 Hopkins 3
Despite being out-hit by Hopkins; Champlin Park found a way to win 4-3. 5 players had a hit apiece and Riley Johnson had a double, scored a run and had an RBI. Brian McGill also had 2 RBI's in the contest. McGill and Alex Bakritges combined to limit Hopkins to 8 hits, 3 runs, 2 earned, 1 walk and collected 2 strikeouts.
St. Michael-Albertville 14 St. Cloud Tech 2
Tyler Hollister, Tyler Hoselton, Jaylen Hakes, Jack Kelly and Jake Bloomstrand each had 2 hits in the contest. Jordan Joseph added a home run and 4 RBI's; and Tyler Hollister had a great game going 2-3 with 3 runs scored, 5 RBI's, and a walk. Tyler Berg picked up the win on the mound going 6 innings allowing 0 runs, 2 hits, 1 walk and picked up 6 strikeouts.
Woodbury 4 White Bear Lake 1
Max Meyer and Austin Jacobs each went 2-3 to lead Woodbury past WBL. 2017 Ronnie Sweeny was 1-3 with a run scored and an RBI; Jack Kohlbeck was 1-2 with 2 runs scored and an RBI. Brady Mundahl dialed on the mound going 7 innings allowing 2 hits, 1 run, 0 earned, with no walks and 6 strikeouts in a 77 pitch effort.
Farmington 4 Apple Valley 0
Farmington scored 4 runs in the 3rd inning to beat Apple Valley 4-0. Justin King was dominant on the mound going 7 innings allowing 3 hits with 1 walk in a shut-out effort. Bobby Eckert was 1-3 with a huge double and had 3 RBI's. Apple Valley's Zach Parks had 2 hits in a losing effort.
Wayzata 9 Edina 2
Griffin Schneider had a huge game for Wayzata going 3-4 with 3 runs scored and 3 RBI's. Soomin Song had 2 hits and Reece Smith was 2-3 with 2 RBI's. Tom Skoro continues to pitch well for Wayzata going 7 innings allowing 7 hits, 2 runs, 1 earned with 2 walk and 3 strikeouts.
Prior Lake 3 Eagan 0
2016 Nick Hanson threw a complete game shut-out allowing 3 hits, 0 walks, and struck out 12 batters. Jason Peter was 2-3 with a run scored and Memphis commit- Nick Vaage- was 1-3 with a run scored and the game deciding 3 run homer in the 3rd innings.
