Midwest Futures Scout Day: Stat Story

Prep Baseball Report and the Midwest Futures teamed up for a scout day featuring 43 players from all across the greater St. Louis area.  There were players ranging from the 22 class to a couple up and coming prospects in the 2025 class.  Today we take a look at some of the top performers from the event.  Full event stats and details can be found by clicking here.

The top fastball velocity was posted by a duo of 2024 grads in Aven Weaver and Evan Fulhorst both topping out at 86 mph.  Josh Burger from the 2024 class and Landon Cann from the 2023's were right behind them posting 85 mph fastballs.  The top fastball from the 2025 class belonged to Jack Moore at 76 mph.

Aven Weaver also posted the top exit velocity at the event with an impressive showing of strength at 95 mph.  2022 grad Adam Hanan from Francis Howell North showed his strength in the hands at 93 mph with Jackson Carter also hitting that 93 mph mark.  Lucas Pearson and Brody Short also eclipsed that 90 mph exit velo mark by both getting up to 91 mph.

Logan Stewart posted the top infield arm across the diamond at 85 mph with Aven Weaver and Brodie Short right behind him at 84 mph.  The top infield arm from the 2025's belonged to Ethan Chiodini at 78 mph.  In the outfield Jackson Carter posted the top arm from the event at 88 mph.  Jacob Klimkiewicz had the top reading from the 2023 class at 82 mph.  Behind the plate Brody Short showed his arm strength from the crouch hitting an impressive 78 mph.
