Midland Bandits Scout Day Stat Story

Prep Baseball Report and the Midland Bandits held a scout day on Sunday the 13th consisting of 61 total players mostly hailing from the greater Saint Louis area and featuring players from the 2022 class to the 2026 class.  Today we take a look at the top leaders in fastball velocities, top exit velos, the best home to first times, positional velocities, and top pop times broken down by class.

The top fastball from the event belonged to 2024 RHP Isaac Boss coming in at 88 mph with Carter Cox right behind him at 86 mph.  Leading the way in the 2022 class was Barrett Lohman with his 84 mph fastball and Levi McCullough showing off his arm strength in the 2026 class at 80 mph and William Jackson from the 2025 class as well as Camden Lohman had the top fastballs at 78 mph.

Isaac Boss also came in with the top home to first time at 4.11 seconds down the line.  Right behind him and leading the way in the 2023 class was Kaden Kinsler at 4.12 seconds.  The top time down the line in the 2025 class was Rylan Luntz at 4.20 seconds and Jaymeson Forest leading the way for the 2026's at 4.58.

The top exit velocity from the event belonged to 2024 Seungmin Song with an impressive 92 mph radar gun reading.  Carter Cox also showed off his hand strength in the 2024 class at 90 mph.  Jaymenson Forest put up one of the more impressive numbers on the day with his 90 mph exit velocity from the 2026 class.  Kaden Kinsler topped the charts for the 2023's at 86 mph and Todd Smith leading the way for the 2025's at 83 mph.

Isaac Boss continued his big day with a 90 mph arm across the diamond showing some serious arm strength with Seungmin Song right behind him at 89 mph.  Caleb Evans showed good carry across the diamond at 82 mph leading the way for the 2025's.  In the outfield, 2024's Carter Cox and Cohen Waldren both lead the way in the event at 86 mph.  Philip Peltes showed some arm strength as well leading the way for the 2023's at 85 mph.

Behind the plate there were multiple guys putting up solid numbers with Seungmin Song capping off his impressive day with an 80 mph arm from the crouch as well as pop times ranging from 1.89-1.90.  Jackson Podmore showed a quick exchange leading the way for the 2023's at 1.95-2.00 and Caleb Evans and Calder Vitale showing some real promise as 2025 catch and throws guys with tight ranges in the 2.1 area.
