5 of the top questions from the Ask.FM Q&A Session on January 20th
When should I start trying to be seen?
--The earlier the better now. You should be selective as to what events/camps you go to or the next thing you know you've spent quite a bit of money. What is nice about what Prep Baseball Report does is the video content that will always be attached to your profile. Video is an easy way for colleges to have access to see you play. Coaches look at tons of video throughout the year because its a fast way for them to identify players. They can also keep track of how you are getting better through each year or season as well.
--Absolutely. Will be on the road quite a bit during the high school season. Want to get out and see all the players we can see. That is one reason why we are running our Maryland Preseason ID event. That will help us identify players to go out and follow during the season
--There are plenty of teams to see. Georgetown Prep, Calvert Hall, St. Mary's, Archbishop Spalding, DeMatha, Bishop McNamara, Gaithersburg, Stephen Decatur, and Parkside are just a few of the teams to look out for this year in Maryland
--There have been a good amount. I am actually posting a story tomorrow on PBR Maryland website from an event I went to this weekend talking about some of the players that stuck out. Its called Maryland Insider. Having said all that, some younger players that have been under the radar would include: Nick Hopkins at St. Mary's (2018), Connor Shockley at Parkside (2017), and Keiran Garner at River Hill (2017)
