MOKAN Preseason All-State Spotlight: Kyle Graves

Andy Urban
KS/OK/MO/AR/Creekside Scouting Supervisor

As we quickly approach our most talented event of the year, the MOKAN Preseason All-State, PBR Kansas will highlight some of the top players already slated to be at the event. Today, we take an in-depth look at 2024 SS/RHP Kyle Graves. The Free State products played important roles on both sides of the ball last year for the Firebirds as they made their run to the state tournament. On the mound, Graves is a low 80s strike thrower with a polished delivery that he repeats well. The righty commands a three pitch mix to keep hitters off balance and throw deep into games. He made a velo jump at the Preseason All-State last year, and if he does it again, he will not stay uncommitted for long. Offensively, the  5-foot-9, 145-pound left-handed hitter shows sneaky pop and barrel control and enough foot speed to make an impact at the top of the order. Defensively, like on the mound, Graves shows polished actions and feel for the came with arm accuracy.
