MO/IL Jr. Future Games Trials: Statistical Analysis

The 2024-25 class kicked us off with our first Missouri event of the summer. The MO/IL Jr. Future Games Trials took place last week with players from the two states showcasing their skills at the Sports Barn in Wentzville, Mo.

Here is a look at all the stats from the event.

TOP 60-YARD DASH

OF/RHP Jackson Carter (Fort Zumwalt East, 2024) recorded the lone sub-7.00 60-yard dash of the day, running a 6.90. SS/C Drew Dickerson (Lee's Summit West, 2024) followed with a 7.29 and OF/3B Tommy Gibbar (Seckman, 2024) rounds out the leaderboard with a 7.43.

TOP EXIT VELOCITY

C/RHP Bryson Kline (Troy, 2024) tops the exit velo board with an 85-mph showing. Not far behind is C/RHP Xander Schmitt (Lafayette, 2024) at 84. A number of players posted an 83-mph exit velo, including the aforementioned Drew Dickerson.

TOP INF VELOCITY

Illinois-native SS Joey Barboza (De La Salle (IL), 2024) tops the INF board by topping at 78-mph across the diamond. SS/RHP Mason Beno (Parkway West, 2024) comes in right behind Barboza by topping at 77-mph during the INF session.

TOP OF VELOCITY

Carter tops his second leaderboard by topping at 76 mph during the OF session. Gibbar and 3B/OF Matthew Robb (Eureka, 2024) top at 70 from the OF.

MAX FASTBALL

Beno and Schmitt find themselves atop another leaderboard, this time for their pitching performance. Beno had the event-leading FB at 80 mph. Schmitt and Brek Sloan (Grain Valley, 2024) topped at 77 mph.
