LOS ANGELES, CALIF. - Prep Baseball Report events across the country have been powered by Swift Performance’s industry-leading portable timing system to capture pinpoint accurate, actionable data from player testing. Prep Baseball Report and Swift are dedicated to recognizing talent and unleashing their potential.

At the event all players are put through a series of testing from running (10, 30, and 60 splits) to jumping for max vertical to multi-jumps for RSI measurements. This data is currently used by close to half the Major League teams and is an incredible asset in player evaluations and projections.

This data goes directly into the player profiles allowing the PBR Staff, college coaches and professional scouts alike to evaluate and compare prospects on a national scale.

Here are some of the advanced metrics gathered, available for subscribers to PBR Plus (Jump Power max and avg., Jump Height max and avg., Run Speed max and avg., and more ).

10 Yard Split

The Athlete’s fast 0-10-yard split time in the event. Measured in seconds. 

30 Yard Split

The athlete’s fastest 0-30-yard split time in the given event. Measured in seconds. 

Top Running Speed (MPH)

The athlete’s fastest split time converted to miles per hour. 

RSI Max- Reactive Strength Index

The RSI measurement of an athlete’s explosiveness by comparing their jump height to the ground contact time in between their jumps. Scored on a scale of 0-5. 

Vertical Jump Max

A measurement of an athlete’s body strength and reach calculated from the flight time divided by contact time.
