Kentucky Player of the Week: Boyle County RHP/1B Casey Whittle
April 24, 2013
By Chris Fuller
Kentucky Scouting Director
If, as a baseball fan, you like to see the long ball, there was no better place to be last week than watching Boyle County right-handed pitcher/first baseman Casey Whittle.
In four games last week (3 wins), Whittle put on a display of power. The senior left-handed hitter launched four home runs and collected seven RBI in the four-game span.
In addition to the power surge at the plate, Whittle was also dealing on the mound. He fired a complete game against rival Danville, allowing one earned run on four hits in a 13-1 victory.
In honor of his performance on the field, Casey Whittle has been named the Kentucky Player of the Week.
