Kansas Player of the Week: Dylan Dreiling

The No. 17 Hays Indians have made a jump in the rankings thanks in part to the the read hot Dylan Dreiling. The Tennessee commit was nearly perfect last week going 9-for-11 with 10 RBI. Included in Dreiling nine hits were multiple doubles and two home runs, one of which was a grand slam.

Dylan Dreiling, Hays (KS), 2022 Tennessee commit.
Positional Profile: OF One of the best all-around players in the state; a nationally ranked prospect.
Body: 6-foot-0, 185-pounds. Strong, athletic frame. Twitchy athlete, defined lower half.
Defense:  Smooth defensive actions, works with a confident rhythm, fluid footwork, fields the ball cleanly.
Arm: LH.   OF - 85 mph. Short, loose arm action, high 3/4 slot.
Hit: LHH. Stands tall in the box, feet start close together, active pre-pitch movement, slight bar load, athletic leg lift trigger, short stride, explosive lower half.  Clear bat speed, short, level path to contact, line drive approach at the plate, works with a certain confidence at the plate, fluid rhythm through contact.
Power: 94 mph exit velocity from the tee. Easy feel to find the barrel, bat speed generates power.
Run: 6.94 runner in the 60. 

Delivery: Feet start staggered towards first base side of rubber, quick side step initiates delivery, drop/drive type, strong front side, works in line with his target, smooth rhythm throughout, simple delivery.
