KS Player of the Week: Jack Kreisman

Our player of the week coverage continues with a near perfect performance from '23 Jack Kreisman has been putting together a year that has him in the running for KS player of the year. Last week the UCM commit came out due to pitch count after tossing 6.2 hitless with 11Ks against rival Blue Valley. After the BV game, Kreisman has tossed 28.2 innings for a 4-1 record with 46Ks .733 ERA, and .126 BAA. Kreisman has been a leader with the bat as well hitting .361.

6-foot, 160-pound athletic frame with compact strength. Dominated in his start for the Royals Scout Team on Friday: 6 IP, 12 K, 0 R, BB and a spot on the 17U all-tournament team. Bumped his fastball up to 88 mph, sitting at 84-87 mph for strikes with occasional cut. Comfortable throwing all three of his secondary pitches for strikes at any point in the count, pitched backwards as the game went on. A name-to-know uncommitted arm in the Kansas’ 2023 class.
