Junior Future Games Showcase Recap

Mississippi has lots of promising players coming in the 2025 and 2026 classes. Prep Baseball Report got a look at them this past weekend at Jackson Prep. Here a look a few that stood out....

Brady Saxton of Northwest Rankin looked solid all over the field showing a nice repeatable delivery on the mound with developing feel for his off speed. At the plate the left handed hitter displayed tons of aggression at contact while finding plenty of gaps.

Barrett McKenney of Simpson Academy carries a mature frame and looks as if the game comes natural. With a big presence at the plate, the right handed hitter has definite power potential and next level hands on defense.

Landon Harmon of East Union has a great frame and very smooth, long and loose arm action. Up to 79 now with plenty more coming. Delivery was easy and with added strength could become a big time prospect.

Gage Thompson showed off some next level defensive ability. With range and a good arm the Lamar Christian product could work his way into becoming a super utility prospect. Thompson also carries a polished delivery to the mound with a fastball up to 75 mph and good spin

Grant Walendzik of Lewisburg pounded the zone with a fastball up to 77 mph. With a stocky build and polished delivery he should arrive on the scene very soon. Walendzik also showed tons of pop at the plate and good footwork and transfer behind it.

Ryder White was arguably the top athlete at the event. With an exit velocity at 86 mph already and a line drive approach, his speed should result in plenty of opportunities on the bases. White also displayed a very good arm from the outfield.
