Scouting Report

7/06/20

Physical: Large / physically advanced 6-foot-6, 205-pound frame with noticeable power in the build. 7.98 runner in the 60-yard dash. Offensively: RHH. Tall, slightly open stance with control in the setup as the hands started with bounce off of the shoulder. Utilized a leg-lift stride to initiate an accurate, flat barrel path through the hitting zone that dealt plenty of damage at impact with lift after contact. Peppered the LCF gap to LF line with loud barrels and was the most impressive hitter at the ‘25 Jr. Future Games. Left the yard multiple times over the LF wall with a peak batted ball distance of 349 feet according to Trackman Baseball, 96 mph maximum bat-exit velocity during his round, the power was legit and it was impressive to see how he moved so athletically in that frame. Will be a high level bat to follow in the class as he continues maturing and refining his game. Defensively: The primary first baseman featured a medium center of gravity with a semi soft glove hand playing out in front of his body, fielded off of the middle of his body with ability to use inside turns on double play footwork, smooth transfers and an adequate high ¾ arm-slot on throws across the diamond. INF - 72 mph Pitching: RHP - Worked from the stretch only off of the far left side of the rubber, medium leg lift with deliberate hip coil, landed even upon footstrike while releasing through an over the top slot with good downhill play on the FB ranging from 73-75 T77 mph. Mixed in a solid 63-65 mph breaker with 11/5 shape and late depth.
