PBR: Why did you choose Hillsdale?
Holt: I choose Hillsdale because of the great coaches, the outstanding school it is, and the scholarships I earned.
PBR: What other schools were you considering?
Holt: I was considering Wayne State, Hope, and Kalamazoo.
PBR: Where did the coaches first see you compete and how did your relationship develop with the rest of the coaching staff?
Holt: They first saw me at Commerica Park during High School season and we emailed back and forth, with some connections through calls.
PBR: What role does the coaching staff expect you to play during your first year on campus?
Holt: They expect me to be a guy who can help the pitching staff freshman year, whether it be a bullpen, or starter guy.
PBR: What are you individual and team goals for this spring?
Holt: Some individual goals are to continue to control all of my pitches to the point where I can throw anything in any count. A team goal is to win the State Championship.
PBR: Who has had the biggest impact on you as a baseball player?
Holt: My dad had the biggest influence on my baseball life, always being there to teach me with everything he knew.
PBR: Who do you play for in the summer and what was your most exciting experience playing summer ball?
Holt: I played for the Midwest Elite last year and my most exciting experience is winning the BCS National Championship in Fort Myers.
PBR: What were your stats last season?
Holt: Led the team in ERA, WHIP, and 3rd in innings pitched.
