PBR: Why did you choose Fordham?
Mackenzie: Great business school and the coaches really seem like great guys. Energy on campus is great.
PBR: What other schools were you considering?
Mackenzie: Quinnipiac.
PBR: Where did the coaches first see you compete and how did your relationship develop with the rest of the coaching staff?
Mackenzie: Diamond Nation. They reached out to me and the relationship got stronger.
PBR: What role does the coaching staff expect you to play during your first year on campus?
Mackenzie: They see me playing early in my career and having a great opportunity to make a difference right away
PBR: How excited were you to have your commitment out of the way?
Mackenzie: Very excited, takes a lot of stress away from the process.
PBR: Who has had the biggest impact on you as a baseball player?
Mackenzie: I like David Wright and he has been a great influence on my life.
PBR: Who do you play for in the summer and what was your most exciting experience playing summer ball?
Mackenzie: CT Grind and the tournament at diamond nation was a great experience.
PBR: What were your stats last season?
Mackenzie: We didn't really keep stats but I had a very good year.
PBR: Who is the toughest pitcher you have faced in CT?
Mackenzie: Holden White.
PBR: How has PBR helped in your recruitment process?
Mackenzie: PBR helped gain exposure to other colleges with a showcase.
PBR: Thoughts on this upcoming season?
Mackenzie: really excited about Choate season and summer.
