The countdown to 2020 is on, and with it, we’re sharing with you all of the most important links you may have missed from the month of November. We also spent time breaking down the state’s Class of 2020 Rankings as well as the 2021 board.
There’s plenty to catch you up on, so take a look at all of November’s most important links compiled at your convenience below.
EVENT ANALYSIS
The fall showcase season was busy, so we compiled a list of the Top Statistical Performances from the four PBR events we hosted. LHP/OF Josh Dima (Belleville West) launched himself up the 2020 board for his 90 mph velocity at our St. Louis-area showcase while the Underclass Showcase revealed to us the budding stars in the state’s 2022 and 2023 classes.

NATIONAL POV
-
Already committed to Louisville, C/INF Zion Rose (Brother Rice) is among the best prospects inside Illinois’ 2023 class, and he made an appearance inside Nathan Rode’s ‘2023s To Know’ post. Rose is a highly athletic 5-foot-10 who thrives at multiple positions and has one of the top right-handed bats in the region.
-
Speaking of 2023s, Shooter Hunt, PBR’s National Crosschecker, released an updated version of the National 2023 Rankings, featuring Rose, C T.J. Schuyler (Antioch; Indiana commit), OF Dillon Head (Homewood-Flossmoor), C Bryce Nevils (Brother Rice), and SS Ryan Jefferson (Providence Catholic).
-
Our National 2022 Rankings were updated by Hunt and the gang as well, as you can see HERE. Fourteen Illinois prospects made the top-400 cut in an especially exciting sophomore class, led by SS Logan Wagner (Home School; Louisville).
-
If you’re looking for MLB Draft news, our PBR Draft HQ team released its first edition of the 2020 Draft Board headed into the offseason. Mount Carmel’s SS Ed Howard IV is the No. 10 prospect on the board, while former Chatham-Glenwood lefty, Reid Detmers (Louisville), is ranked at No. 13. Plenty more Illinois flavor elsewhere on the board, like John A. Logan’s SS Ryan Ritter (Lincoln-Way East) and Joliet Catholic’s SS Christian Knapczyk.
-
In early November, the PBR staff welcomed aboard a new member to its team: Cullen McGowan. McGowan comes from TrackMan, where he managed professional and amateur baseball business. His resume is as decorated as they come, with degrees from Columbia University and the University of Arizona. Now Managing Director, McGowan will oversee all business units while shepherding upcoming initiatives. To read the full release, click HERE.
