No. 1 Neuqua Valley 12, Plainfield East 2

No. 4 St. Laurence 1, Reavis 0
Marius Balandis and Joe Vascik combined on a two-hitter with 11 strikeouts to out-duel Bailey Boyd and send St. Laurence to the Class 4A St. Laurence Sectional final. Tommy Farrell doubled home Brian Lyle in the fifth inning.
No. 8 Edwardsville 6, No. 5 O’Fallon 2
Kade Burns pitched a three-hitter and went 2-for-3 with two runs scored as Edwardsville prevailed in the Class 4A Bloomington Sectional semifinal showdown. Burns allowed one earned run when striking out eight and walking four and Joel Quirin had two hits and two RBI in the victory.
South Elgin 1, No. 7 St. Charles North 0

No. 12 Huntley 7, McHenry 2
Matt Rodriguez went 2-for-3 with an RBI and seven Huntley batters drove in one run apiece in the Class 4A Sectional semifinal victory. Jeff Heinrich doubled and scored two runs for the Red Raiders.
No. 13 Crystal Lake South 13, DeKalb 2
Scott Skwarek and Nick Wolski hit home runs and Noah Tyrrell had four RBI in the Class 4A McHenry Sectional semifinal rout. Andrew Engelking allowed an earned run on three hits in five innings for the Gators.
No. 14 Plainfield North 3, Yorkville 0

No. 16 Lincoln-Way Central 8, Lincoln-Way West 5
Brandon Bennitt went 3-for-3 with two doubles and three RBI for Central in the Class 4A Homewood-Flossmoor Sectional semifinals.
Sandburg 12, Providence 10
Andrew Tenison hit two home runs and Sandburg scored four runs in the bottom of the sixth to break an 8-8 tie and end Providence's three-year reign as Class 4A champs. Seth Masters and Brian Hughes had two hits and two RBI apiece in the Homewood-Flossmoor Sectional semifinal victory.
Warren 6, Buffalo Grove 5
Robert Archbold went 2-for-3 with three RBI and Luke Schmitt doubled home the go-ahead run in the top of to the sixth as Warren advanced to the Class 4A Glenbrook South Sectional final. Cal Poremba added two hits and two RBI in the victory.
Willowbrook 5, Conant 1

Normal West 4, Moline 0
McCade Brown and Caleb Jacobs combined on a two-hitter for West in the Class 4A Bloomington Sectional semifinals. Alex Hoss and Ben Smith had two RBI apiece and Peyton Dillingham had two hits and scored two runs for West.

3A Sectional Semi-Finals
Oak Forest 5, No. 11 Lemont 2
Mike Edwards allowed two earned runs on four hits in the complete-game victory as the Bengals moved on to the Class 3A Ottawa Sectional title game. Tyler Suchy had three hits and scored three runs for Oak Forest.
No. 15 Glenwood 5, Effingham 0
Jacob Maton pitched a two-hitter with 12 strikeouts and Todd Fowler hit a three-run homer as the Titans advanced to the Class 3A Glenwood Sectional title game. Jake Ryan added two hits and two RBI in the victory.
Champaign Central 8, No. 24 Sacred Heart-Griffin 4
Marshall Thompson and Jake Beesley had two hits and two RBI apiece and Central erupted for six runs in the third inning to take command in the Class 3A Glenwood Sectional semifinals. Dom Erlinger pitched 5⅔ innings for the win.
St. Viator 8, No. 25 Carmel 3

Benet 6, Glenbard South 5
Erik Jones went 3-for-3 with a home run and two doubles for the Redwings in the Class 3A Benet Sectional semifinals. Mike Paprota hit a two-run homer in the top of the seventh to trim Glenbard South’s deficit to one.
Marian Catholic 4, Coal City 1
Jordan Smevoll pitched a two-hitter and Mark DiLuia homered, doubled and drove in three runs for Marian Catholic in the Class 3A Ottawa Sectional semifinals. Smevoll struck out six and walked two and Angelo Cantelo had three hits in the victory.
Mascoutah 2, Salem 1
Jordan Kraljev pitched all 10 innings and Michael Chaffin singled home the winning run with two outs in the bottom of 10th as Mascoutah moved on to the Class 3A Salem Sectional final.
Marmion 10, Rockford Lutheran 6
Chase Stanke homered and Dillon Dilorio had two hits and two RBI for Marmion in the Class 3A Sycamore Sectional semifinals.
Morton 2, Dunlap 1
Vinni Massaglia hit a solo home run and Morton pushed across an unearned run in the top of the eighth to break a 1-1 tie as Morton advanced in the Class 3A Metamora Sectional. Taylor Catton struck out 12 in 6⅓ innings of two-hit ball for Dunlap.
Grayslake Central 10, Lakes 3
Ben Kordek went 3-for-4 and Benton Troehler had two hits and three RBI in the Class 3A Lake View Sectional semifinal victory. Coby Moe allowed a run on three hits while striking out four in 3⅓ to win in relief.
Nazareth 11, Montini 7
Ryan Turgeon drove in three runs and Mike Milano and Dominic Milano had two hits and two runs apiece in the Class 3A Benet Sectional semifinals.
Geneseo 10, Normal University 8
Simeon 16, Evergreen Park 3
