Future Games Spotlight - RHP DeShawn Morgan

Phil Kerber
Georgia Scouting Director

The 2022 PBR Future Games are less than a week away, and will be here in no time. With that being said, we would like to introduce you to this year's Team Georgia. We will roll out individual player spotlights with comments, video, stats, and more over the next few days.

RHP DeShawn Morgan (North Paulding, 2024) showed up to the Underclass Games back in June and was nothing short of electric. An athletically built 5-foot-11, 175-pounds with muscle throughout, Morgan produced some of the easiest velocity we have seen all summer. With a low effort, whip-like arm action he is able to sit 89-91 mph. The fastball is a swing and miss pitch with riding life up in the zone. He effectively plays a sharp slider off his fastball, generating plenty of swing and misses. One of the top fastball/slider combinations in the class.
