PBR Future Games is set for July 28th- July 31st

Prep Baseball Report's one-of-a-kind event will feature the best uncommitted 2023 prospects and select 2024 prospects from our 40-plus state coverage area. The Future Games will take place on July 28th through July 31st at LakePoint Sports in Cartersville, GA.

The Future Games is the premier summer scouting event for Class of 2023 prospects and select 2024 prospects. In a typical year, more than 320 college coaches from all over the country are in attendance. The event is huge draw for college with many of the top uncommitted players from across the country in attendance. The Prep Baseball Report services are also subscribed by more than 800 colleges and pro scouts. Last year, due to COVID, scouts weren't able to be in attendance but they were able to follow along through our online streaming platform that is hooked up on every field at this premier facility.

Players will also receive maximum visibility from college coaches all over the country, in addition to being promoted through the Prep Baseball Report multimedia platforms.

Each state team will play three games. Day 1, all position players will be put through a showcase workout in which they will run 60s, take batting practice and be evaluated at their primary position. The following days players will compete in live game setting vs teams & top players from other states.

2023 RHP/1B Grant smith JOINS TEAM ARIZONA

2023 RHP/OF Grant Smith (Pinnacle)Smith upside is undeniable standing at a 6-foot-4, 200-pound frame with long limbs, plus athleticism and above average strength.  He still continues to progress while learning to use that big body and how he can use his tools to his advantage. The ceiling is through the roof at this point. Smith throws with some rawness from longer arm action, coming out of a 3/4 slot. Uses a tall delivery and neutral leg lift. At our fall event, Smith's FB has worked into the lower 90 's throughout the spring and summer. He's still figuring out how his stuff moves but it shows flashes of future + movement including a power sinker.  Smith also shows two-way capabilities with power potential at the plate. At our Top Prospect Games he launched a couple balls over the LF fence at 100mph with ease. He also ran a 6.95 60-yard dash as a capable OF awhile back but sticks more towards 1B recently. Smith should be an intriguing prospect to follow at this years Future Games.
