Fall Top Prospect Game

Dan Valerio
Assistant Scouting Director

The Fall Top Prospect Game. The roster was made up about 30 kids. Grad classes in the 2024-2026 range. The 2026's stole the show. Especially on the mound some serious arm talent.

Let's dive into the meat of who we identified as top performers and CLICK HERE for a full break down of the event.

SPOTLIGHT:

2026, RHP, Alex Weingartner (St. Augustine Prep)

+ The lean ultra-athlete. Portrayed a skillset that for the coming years will have scouts flocking. It's a proportionate build. Strong lean attributes. He gets down the mound with a quad load and a short stride, hyper mobile trunk, and arm speed that produces a low 90's fastball.

2026, LHP, Danny DiTullio (Christian Brothers Academy)

+ The southpaw has some tempo and pitch ability combined with a projectable frame that currently stands at 6-foot-3, 195 pounds. Tall frame with broad shoulders, has a high leg kick in which he swings up, creates angle and tilt, very deceptive look if you are a LHH. The mix of CH and CB tend to propel the FB to feel firm. CH has fade action in which in this setting picked up whiffs. DiTullio currently has a low 80's FB.

2026, RHP, JJ Drennan (Seton Hall Prep)

+ Drennan uses his 6-foot, 185 pound frame efficiently, it presents bigger, he has a long legs with high waist, broad shouldered, durable. Stays tall on his backside, falls down the mound with a long stride, gets up over it in a repeatable manner. Currently his FB sits 84-85 paired with a SL that has spin H of 2471. Late bite to the breaker making for his current K pitch.

2025, OF, Dylan Fitzsimmons (Morris Knolls)

+ The 5-foot-11, 185-pound outfielder. Stole the show. Batting practice including two rounds of just destroying baseballs. His best recorded hit off trackman went 387 feet with an EV of 99.8 mph.  Semi balanced base, rocks back to start lifts the heel to long stride, hands start away from body and as lower half began to move the hands transitioned into slot, gets connected and backside stays tall and drives through. Creates ext. and leverage in swing. Low pitch for Fitzsimmons was being demolished. From the OF he threw the ball 90 mph.

2025, UNC commit SS AJ Terry (Randolph)

+ Tar Heel commit is getting stronger. Currently 6-foot/175lbs. Athletic, medium build with lean muscles, presents to have strong lower half and normal proportion. In the swing his setup is balanced with wide setup, short stride, with solid ext, through contact. In the INF across Terry had a high of 87 mph. feet stay active, glove works ground to chest, throws with conviction. Attributes and feel to stay at SS.
