Yesterday the Fall Prospect Program went to University of Arkansas Monticello. Teams competed in a 9 inning contest and went through a full offensive evaluation prior to their game, including exit velocity. Here is a look at some of the highlights and exit velocity from the first session which featured the Purple Team and Arkansas Prospects 17U team.
The most tightly contested contest of the day the Prospects won the game 9-8 in walk-off fashion in the bottom of the 9th. Both teams took advantage of mistake made by the other team. This was a game that saw 9 errors and 11 walks for the teams combined. Some of the pitchers did a great job working around jams. Offensively the Orange Team was paced offensively by 2017 C Kemp Truslow who had two knocks including a big two out hit to drive in two runs. 2017 MIF Drew Menard had a solid game recording two hits off the bench including a 2 RBI single.
The Fall Prospect Program will take next week end off and will play on October 18th at University of Arkansas at Fort Smith. Schedules will be posted on Wednesday October 14th.
