Fall Player Spotlights: Branden Floyd

Scott Hood
OK/MO/KS/ARK Assistant Scouting Director

Prep Baseball Report Oklahoma is highlighted some of the top remaining uncommitted players in the 2023 class to a couple of the top 2025's.  Today we take a look at the versatile 2023 INF/OF Branden Floyd.  The Owasso Ram product jumped onto the scene in a big way back in May where he stepped up in big in multiple occasions leading them to capture the 6A state.  Although with a slimmer build, Floyd shows some pull side pop and has shown the ability to leave the yard thanks to his quick hands and ability to pull the hands inside the ball well and backspin it with extension.  Defensively he manned the hot corner last spring and showed smooth actions and soft hands and can also cover ground in the outfield giving the roster multiple avenues to take of advantage of his skills.  Teams looking for a player that has shown up on the big stage and offers a ton of flexibility in the lineup should take a closer look here.
