The Florida Preseason All-State has quickly become the premier Preseason event in the state of Florida. Over the first two years there have been over 100 committed players in attendance and counting. This event is held for the top 2019s-2022s throughout the state to kick off the Prep Baseball Report's spring high school baseball coverage.

We will begin to spotlight each and every player in attendance. Today, we look at Jacob Crews (West Orange, 2021). The physical 2021 first baseman stands an impressive 6-foot-5, 230-pounds.

Scouting Report

08/20/17- Stands at 6-foot-2, 210 pounds on a large, strong frame. At the plate starts from a wide stance with a small leg kick for his load. Strength in his swing and when he is on time, can really square the ball up. Ball jumps off the bat and has an uphill path through the zone after contact. Power potential. On the mound has a simple windup with a big leg kick in his delivery. Fastball mostly sat in 76-78 mph range with some run while mixing in a 67-69 mph curveball and a 71-72 mph changeup. Lands in line most of the time, but occasionally can fall off to the third base side on his follow through. Strong, young player to follow as he continues to mature.
