Scouting Report

7/13/22

Physical: Strong, athletic 5-foot-11, 175 lb frame

Offensively: RHH. Above-average width to the stance with a high hand-set to begin. Good stretch in the load and deep barrel slot while matching plane, creating plus bat speed (70 MPH) through the hitting zone (slight uphill path). Natural plate coverage and feel to keep the front side in over the middle-outer tier. Posted a T91 mph bat-exit velocity with 84 mph AVG and a 343 foot batted ball distance. Two-handed, easy finish allows bat-head to stay in the zone for length.

Defensively: Starts in a balanced set up with feet slightly off set from a traditional crouch. The straight line footwork showed well, as did the exchange, working in/out of the glove up to 74 mph from a H ¾ slot. Worked out at 3B as well on this date flashing athletic footwork. The glove was soft with clean transfers and the ability to get rid of the ball quick while varying the release.
