Draft League Spotlight: Tyler Grauer
March 12, 2021
Player: Tyler Grauer
Position: LHP
School: Indiana State
Has been a stalwart out of the Indiana State bullpen for the last three years, posting a 1.91 ERA and nine saves in 2019, then a 1.59 ERA and five more saves in the shortened 2020 campaign. A big, strong 6-foot-5 southpaw, Grauer attacks the zone at 89-91 mph and regularly misses bats with a diving, mid-70s changeup and a sharp 1-to-7 breaking ball at 73-77 mph. His changeup is a plus to plus-plus pitch and he will throw it in any count. At times the pitch can be largely unhittable. Grauer’s track record is strong and his stuff is good enough to earn him a chance in pro ball as a senior sign.
