Draft League Spotlight: Tevin Tucker
May 21, 2021
Player: Tevin Tucker
Position: SS
School: West Virginia
Revered as perhaps the best defensive player in the Big 12, Tucker has served as WVU’s starting shortstop since his freshman year, though a foot injury that required surgery in early February has kept him off the field in 2021. While there’s little doubt that the glove will play at the next level, the jury is still out on Tucker’s bat, which has produced a .192/.341/.256 slash line in 76 games. Showing that he can make an impact at the plate in the Draft League could give the slick-fielding shortstop’s Draft stock a big boost.
