Draft League Spotlight: Preston Salazar
March 1, 2021
Player: Preston Salazar
Position: RHP
School: St. Louis CC
A transfer from SIU-Edwardsville to St Louis CC the 6-foot-4, 190-pound right-hander throws from a high three-quarter slot with a quick and loose arm action. His current fastball ranges from 88-92, but there is significantly more in the tank. His heater is straight, but downhill with above average spin (2480 rpm). He will also show two good swing and miss breaking pitches. His curve ranges from 75-77 with top-to-bottom 12/6 break and compliments well with a firm slider at 83-85 with tight action.
