Here are your scores and highlights from all the action around the state last evening, highlighted by a classic pitcher's duel in E-Town between #1 St. Xavier and #2 Central Hardin.

Unsigned senior LHP Ben Britt and Louisville recruit Drew Harrington hooked up in a pitchers duel. With two outs in the bottom of the 7th, Central Hardin collected its only hit of the game, as pinch hitter Isaac VanMeeter stroked a single that drove home the winning run. Harrington allowed 5 hits and struck out 11 in the shutout win. Britt didn’t allow a hit and struck out 9 in his 6 1/3 innings of work. Austin Clemons and Britt each had 2 hits in the Tigers loss.

#5 Lexington Catholic 12 Boone County 3
Taylor Henley went 2-3 with a home run and 3 RBI, Daniel Little went 2-3 with a double and 3 RBI, and Ben Coates added 3 hits. Six different pitchers combined for 9 strikeouts for Lexington Catholic.
#8 Tates Creek 8 Corbin 2
Jeff Chapuran went 2-4 with a double, 2 RBI, and 3 runs scored, Devin Hairston collected 2 hits and 2 RBI, and Javon Shelby added 2 hits in the victory. Cody Bronaugh allowed 2 hits and struck out 5 in going the distance for the win.
DuPont Manual 11 #9 Bullitt East 5
Turahn Gordon went 2-4 with a RBI, Sam Coryell tripled and drove in 2 runs, and Andrew Olson stroked a 2-run double as Manual upset #9 Bullitt East. Aaron Pearcy allowed 6 hits and 1 earned run over 6 innings to pick up the win.
#12 Collins 4 Anderson County 2
Mason Jeffries lauched a home run, and Nate Clifton and Dan Sanders each added 2 hits on the Collins win. Sanders allowed 3 hits and struck out 6 in throwing a complete game.
#13 Lafayette 6 Montgomery County 4
Lafayette scored 4 runs in the 6th inning and held on for the win. Matt Trimble drove in 2 runs with a double, and Ben Eckert and Eriv Vanderboegh added doubles in the win. Jack Noftsger worked 6 innings to pick up the win, and Jalen Stith pitched a scoreless 7th for the save. Sam Lee homered in the loss for Montgomery County.

#16 West Jessamine 15 Henry Clay 8
West Jessamine took advantage of 6 walks and 8 Henry Clay errors. Tucker Greer and Tanner Graham each drove in 2 runs in the win. Daulton Peters struck out 7 over 3 2/3 innings to pick up the win.
Pulaski County 4 #18 Russell County 3
Eric Jones provided all the offense the Maroons needed with a grand slam in the 3rd inning to lift Pulaski County to the win.

The game ended in a tie after 6 innings due to darkness.

Dylan Logue went 2-3 with a double and 4 RBI, Trevor Tate went 2-3 with a double and 3 RBI, and Chris Goodman and John Ingram each added 3 hits as Mercer County cruised to the win. Logan Horn allowed 3 hits and struck out 8 in the 5-inning shutout.
Sayre 12 Burgin 0 (5 innings)
Mason Jasko went 3-3 with a double and 3 RBI, Ray Brewer went 3-4, and Michael Flora went 2-3 with 2 RBI. Aidan Elias racked up 11 K’s in his 5 innings of work for the shutout win.
Rockcastle County 5 Whitley County 0
Chris Wren went 2-3 with 2 RBI, and Devon McGuire drove in 2 runs in the Rockcastle win. Austin Emery fired a complete game 1-hit shutout to pick up the win.
Logan County 4 Muhlenberg County 3 (9 innings)
Gage Hales had 3 hits, and Thomas Miller added 2 as the Cougars scored a run in the bottom of the ninth to win it. Matt Harper picked up the win in relief allowing no earned runs over his 4 innings of work.
Knox Central 8 Jackson County 0
Hunter McRight went 2-3 with a double and RBI, and Casey Patterson added a double in the win. Four Knox Central pitchers combined on a 1-hit shutout with 7 K’s.
Greenup County 7 Ashland Blazer 4
Korey Morris went 2-4 with a double and 2 RBI, and Zach Hutchinson added 2 hits and drove in a run in the win. Hutchinson also threw a complete game in picking up the win.
Raceland 6 Morgan County 4
Collecting only 2 hits in the game, Raceland took advantage of 8 walks and 4 Morgan County errors.
Boyd County 3 Lincoln County 2
Jacob Barnwell went 3-4, and Robbie Shivel went 2-4 with a double and RBI in the Boyd County win. Dylan Grimm worked 6 innings of 2-hit baseball with 7 K’s to record the win. Zack Patton pitched a scoreless 7th to earn the save.
Scott County 8 North Laurel 8 (11 innings)
After 11 innings of baseball, the game was called and ended in a tie. Weston Griebel went 4-6 with a double and 2 RBI, and Austin Thompson added 2 doubles for North Laurel. Bo Saunders, Matt Gregory, and Brad Seahorn all collected 2 hits each for Scott County. Chase Martin allowed 3 hits and no earned runs while racking up 11 K’s in 6 innings of relief for Scott County.
Bethlehem 9 Washington County 6
Bethlehem scored 4 runs in the top of the 7th to win the game. Jake Yates went 4-4, and Alan Webb and John Riney both launched home runs in the win. Jimmy Keating picked up the win with 1 2/3 scoreless innings of relief.
Madison Central 8 Bryan Station 7 (8 innings)
Ben Fisher went 2-4 with 3 RBI, and Jake Caldwell drove in 3 runs in the extra inning win for the Indians.

Cameron Ross, Blaise Ostertage, Austin Brake, and Dustin Herrmann all had 2 hits apiece in leading Conner to the win. Austin Price went the distance with 6 K’s in picking up the win.
