A look at scores and highlights around the state from yesterday's District Tournament action.
Marshall County 6, Murray 3
Justice Beal led the way for Marshall County in Friday’s District Championship, as he finished the contest 3-4 with 4 RBI and a run scored. Cole Austin added 2 hits of his own and JC Goins got the win on the mound, allowing only 2 hits in his 5 innings of work. Goins struck out 3. Chase Nelson had a hit and an RBI for Murray.
Ohio County 3, Muhlenberg County 1
Chris Logsdon went 2-4 with a run and an RBI to help lead the Ohio County Eagles to another district championship. Blaine Gillim got the complete-game victory, as he struck out 4 and allowed only 5 hits and 1 run in his 7 innings of work. Gillim also had a hit and scored a run in the game, as well. Hunter Combs had a hit and a walk for Muhlenberg County.
