For a change this week, dry weather allowed a full-slate of games to be played. Here is a look at score and highlights from around the state last evening.
#1 Tates Creek 7, #9 Paul Laurence Dunbar 4
Jordan Fucci went 3-for-3 with 2 RBI, and Devin Hairston and Tanner Hart each added 2 hits to lead the Tates Creek offense. Hart picked up his second win of the season over PLD, allowing 1 earned run over 6 innings of work.
Floyd Central 5, #2 St. Xavier 1
St. Xavier was held to two hits in the loss.
#3 Eastern 8, Henry Clay 0
#4 West Jessamine 2, #17 Male 0
Ryan Layne went 2-for-3 with a RBI, and Christian Beckley drove in the game’s other run. Daulton Peters fired a complete game, 3-hit shutout with 8 K’s for the win.
Notre Dame MO 7, McCracken County 5 (11 Innings)
#8 PRP 4, #16 Bullitt East 3 (8 Innings)
Steven Husband went 2-for-3 with 2 doubles and 2 RBI, and Jonathon Cavanaugh doubled and drove in a run as PRP knocked off Bullitt East in extra innings. Dustin Clark picked up the win, striking out 4 and not allowing a hit in 3 innings of relief work.
Breckinridge County 4, #10 Ballard 1
Robert Sutton went 3-for-4 with a RBI, and Chris Morgan and Payton Hobby each added 2 hits as Beckinridge County upset #10 Ballard. Darrell Boehman fired a complete game 3-hitter with 6 K’s for the win.
#11 Collins 14, Anderson County 3
Paul Miller went 2-for-3 with a HR and 3 RBI, Justin Eden went 2-for-4 with a HR and 4 RBI, and Dre Farris went 3-for-5 with a HR and scored 3 runs in the Collins rout. Zac Wiley allowed 3 earned runs and struck out 11 in the complete game win.
#12 Beechwood 7, Highlands 4
#13 Bourbon County 5, Montgomery County 0
Tyler Bretz went 3-for-4 with a double, Jaxson Hilander went 2-for-4 with a RBI, and Nick Wheeler added 2 hits including a solo HR. Wheeler fired a complete game, 3-hit shutout with 10 K’s to pick up the win.
#14 Scott County 8, George Rogers Clark 5
#15 Dixie Heights 6, Ludlow 1
Ethan Harrison went 3-for-4 with a double, Nick King went 2-for-4 with a double, Nick Niehaus added 2 hits and drove in a run, and Seth Caple drove in 2 runs as Dixie Heights continued to roll. Griffin Smallwood allowed 4 hits, 1 earned run, and struck out 7 in the complete game win.

#21 Danville 3, Boyle County 0
Collin Harris went 2-for-4 with a triple, and Nick Serey and Hamilton Young combined on a two-hit shutout.

#24 St. Mary 2, #19 Paducah Tilghman 1
#25 Graves County 4, Mayfield 0
Austin Jones doubled and drove in 2 runs, and Justin Hayden fired a complete game 1-hit shutout with 10 K’s.
Garrard County 4, Lincoln County 2
JT Lyon homered and drove in two runs, and Seth Murphy added a solo homer in the Garrard County win. Matt Wilburn pitched five strong innings, allowing one hit with six strikeouts.
Caldwell County 9, Madisonville-North Hopkins 2
Jordan Young went 2-for-3 with a HR and 4 RBI, Eli Pepper went 2-for-4 with a double and RBI, and Evan Stewart drove in 2 runs. Landon Burns allowed 4 hits, 1 earned run, and struck out 9 in 6 innings for the win.
Logan County 3, Franklin-Simpson 2
Matt Harper went 2-for-3 with a double and 2 RBI, and Caleb Bruner went 2-for-3 with a double and RBI. Bruner fired a complete game 1-hitter, allowing no earned runs with 11 K’s to pick up the win.
Clay County 10, Harlan County 2
Dylan Garrison went 3-for-5 with 2 doubles and drove in a run, Tanner Smith added 2 hits, John Sizemore doubled twice and drove in 2 runs, and Nate Sizemore added 3 RBI. Tyler Allen allowed 2 earned runs in going the distance for the win.
Bethlehem 9, Washington County 1
Conner Ballard went 3-for-4 with 2 doubles, John Riney went 2-for-2 with a double and 2 RBI, and Alan Webb doubled and drove in 2 runs. Thomas Osborne allowed 1 earned run in 4 innings of work on the mound.
Bethlehem 6, Washington County 3
Chance Bodine went 2-for-4 with a HR, and Blake Brangers added a 3-run shot as Bethlehem swept Washington County in the double-header. Corey Robinson scattered 6 hits and allowed 1 earned run in a 78-pitch complete game effort.
Thomas Nelson 7, Nelson County 5
Eli Clark went 3-for-3 with a RBI, Corey Zylinski added 2 hits and a RBI, and Tyler Bradley drove in 2 runs for Thomas Nelson. Austin Martinez allowed 2 earned runs over 4 innings to pick up the win.
South Warren 4, Bowling Green 1
Ty Pitts went 2-for-3 with a triple and RBI, and Jacob Smiley allowed 1 earned run over 5.1 innings for the win. Pitts worked the final 1.2 innings to earn the save.
LCA 5, Lafayette 3 (9 Innings)
Drew Schacht went 3-for-5, Cody Kalinowski and Graham Smith each added 2 hits, and Andrew Barker launched a 2-run homer in the LCA victory. Kalinowski worked 4 scoreless innings on the mound.
Mason County 3, Morgan County 0
Ryan Johnson went 2-for-3, and Aaron Scilley allowed 2 hits and struck out 9 in 5 scoreless innings for the win.
Calloway County 2, Murray 1
Caleb Brannon collected 2 hits, and Austin Anderson tripled and drove in 2 runs in the one-run victory. Anderson fired a complete game 4-hitter in picking up the win.
Campbell County 1, Lloyd 0
Kevin Skinner went 2-for-3, and Gabe Kremer drove in the game’s only run for Campbell County. Cameron Edwards went the distance on the mound, allowing 2 hits in the complete game effort.
Franklin County 6, Harrison County 2
Blake Redmon went 2-for-3 with 2 RBI, Alden Gatewood went 2-for-2 with a RBI, and Alex McKinney drove in 2 runs for Franklin County. Quenton Brownlee allowed 2 hits, 2 earned runs, and struck out 5 in going the distance to pick up the win.
